First, look at your personal Social Security statement and just under “Your Estimated Benefits” is a statement that says, “Your estimated benefits a=re based on current laws.” Following that sentence, it explains that benefits may change and that based on current law and taxes collected there will be =enough to pay only about XX% of scheduled benefits…”
The government is telling us that Social Security will not be the same in the future, but we don’t know what it will be.
